I am delighted to be the founder and CEO of mXreality (www.mxreality.co.uk) and the co-founder of Metaverse Learning (www.metaverselearning.co.uk) and Metaverse Hub (www.metaversehub.co.uk). Each of these three businesses are pioneering innovative, immersive technology for our customers in the UK and worldwide. We have brought together talented teams of developers to create cutting-edge technology solutions, including #VirtualReality #VirtualEnvironments #MixedReality #AI #AugmentedReality #DigitalTwins and the #Metaverse.
With over 25 years of experience in mixed reality, digital transformation, immersive technologies, learning, virtual and augmented reality, I have a unique perspective on technology with a deep understanding of its impact on business processes and learning. I’m proud to lead a team that can guide our customers to the right blend of technology that will solve their challenges.
I have carried out extensive research in pedagogical techniques and the use of multimedia in education and commercial training and have obtained a BSc (Hons) in “Mechanical/Automotive Engineering”, MPhil in “Welding Technologies/Industrial Science” and PhD in “Multimedia/Digital Learning and Virtual Reality simulation”. For many years, I established and managed several e-learning businesses and departments at national and international companies.
My most acknowledged and largest commercial achievement is the formation of Skills2Learn Limited. I formed the business in Milton Keynes in August 2007 from the ground up with initially only five members of staff. It grew into a multi-million-pound business which employed over 75 full-time staff. I sold my shares to Babcock International Group (FTS100) in December 2013.
I am a creative and driven entrepreneur and a consummate business executive with an excellent educational, commercial and technical background. I am very accomplished in establishing and running technically sophisticated businesses. As an experienced business leader, I enjoy working and mentoring others at all levels, from senior management teams to graduates and those just starting out in their careers, gaining their confidence to successfully build and lead productive teams while managing and maintaining an excellent rapport.
